Displaying dyed items

Saturday I had the opportunity to display some of my hand-dyed items as part of an art display at my church. The picture is one I took of the display. The bottom left is some silk scarves. The pink on the table is a silk scarf and some rayon I low water immersion dyed. The turquoise/royal blue and the while/purple are silks I shibbori dyed. The top at the back is a clothing blank from Dharma I low water immersion dyed.

Really great colors. Do more, please. What dyes do you use? Asks the lady with purple fingers. I really need to learn to put the rubber gloves on.

Everything on the blog was dyed with Procion MX. I also use some Sabracon dyes. For wool I use a variety of acid dyes. Silk I dye with both kinds of dyes.

For the dye-stains on fingers, I love Reduran. Last summer I immersion dyed some silk and didn't realize I had a hole in one of my gloves. The turquoise was rather dark on one finger and visible lots of other places. I was so glad when Reduran took most of it off.
